Four Little Tips for Teenagers—给青少年的4个小贴士
作者:本站   来源:本站原创   发布时间:2016-12-21 17:05:48

I'm 25. Time to sadly admit that I'm not teenager any more. Why sadly ? As far I can recall my memories it was great time, full of excitement and joy. I remember happy moments with my friends. Good thing about being a teenager is that life is easy. I miss time when my biggest problem was whether to wear blue or pink t-shirt. All these what I mentioned before sketching teenagers life, as a heaven on earth. Not so easy.  Something what comes to my mind is that, as a teenager I was confused all the time. I had to discover everything by myself, from school to friendship. I had to choose what is good or bad. My point today is to give insight into teenager life from perspective adult person who survived my youth time without many major failures.
When I was in high school I had many friends. It was great to have somebody to chat with, have fun during breaks. With the times I lost touch with most of them. It's turned out that those people were just nice to me because I have had homework done or I had known how to count math exercise. You don't have to be popular and have a million friends to be happy. In fact, many of the "friends" you have when you are popular are not true friends. Friends are there to support and lift your spirits. Be with people who make you happy, and ditch the ones who don't. Create a group of supportive, loving friends that can help you succeed in life and live your dreams. Choose carefully people who you can count on. Friendship which you tight now will stay with you for long time. Believe me.
Do well in school. I would give a lot to have Russian language class again. After 9 years of studying I can barely introduce myself. Now I know If I would put just small effort into revising words, now I could speak pretty good. What is more, some opportunities are closed for me because I can not speak Russian good enough. No matter how boring it is now, education will help you be a someone in the future. Try your best, listen to the teachers, do your homework, study, and get good grades. Doing so will help you get into a better college/university, which will enable you to get a great job in the future. School sets you up on the right track. Even though you want to enjoy your teen life as best as possible, don't slack off in school. It will pay off in the end. Plus, doing well means no angry parents.
Believe in something. Do not support your friends if they are not right, just because they are your friends, what is more because you are close to each other they will understand and accept your different point of view. It's not easy to be yourself but it's even harder to pretend being someone who you don't want to be. Start believing in a cause, whether it is a social or environmental issue, or even a religion. You will start forming your own ideas this way. Form your own opinions and stand by them. Stand up for what you believe is right.
Do what you love. There is no bigger unhappiness in life if you have to struggle and do something which do not give you any satisfaction or pleasure ( I'm not saying about school). Adopt a hobby; reading, writing, sewing, singing, dancing, playing a sport, making pottery, etc. It will pass time and help you develop your personality. Experiment and discover new things; you might be surprised to find that you really like them! Try to find a hobby that is meaningful or practical. Find ways to relate the things which interest you to your life. Being able to relate things to your interests/passions will help you to, eventually, enjoy everything which you do.
Being bad boy/girls is cool, but only now when your friends admire you. When you face real life your self- confidence will evaporate. Try don't get into any trouble, legal or otherwise. It could ruin your future plans. Avoid the peer pressure and ditch the cigarettes or alcohol. If you're being pressured into anything, simply walk away. If you can avoid these things during your teen years, they're a lot easier to avoid once you're young than after.
No one can teach you how to make the most of your teenage life. As people used to say: Failure teach you how not to fail again. You're only young for a short time, and before you know it you'll be an adult that will be saying around saying, "I wish I had done this when I was younger."
